Grier, a former four-star recruit from Davidson, N.C., split time with Treon Harris in Florida’s 61-13 win over New Mexico State.

Grier completed 15 of 17 attempts for 166 yards and two touchdowns, while Harris went 14 of 19 for 215 yards and two scores.
Both will play Saturday.
Grier’s father, Chad Grier, played quarterback at East Carolina from 1989-1990. He wrote about his experiences coaching his son while being a parent during the recruiting process for Sporting News.
