Florida State Honors Frank Beamer In Local Paper

The Seminoles’ athletic department took out an ad in the Roanoke Times — Virginia Tech’s local paper — to honor the 29-year coach one last time.

Beamer coached his team to a 2-9 record against Florida State, including a loss in the 1999 BCS championship game, but finished his last four games against the Seminoles 2-2. The last time the two teams met was in 2012, a 28-22 FSU win.
