According to tweets by freshman linebacker Anthony Valdes, the Seminoles returned from their 59-20 loss to Oregon in the Rose Bowl — their first loss in 30 games — to find their vehicles vandalized.
Valdes recognized the actions as those taken by people who had forgotten what it was like to lose. The Seminoles hadn’t lost since falling 37-26 to Florida on Nov. 24, 2012.
Valdes made sure to note he knew the vandalism didn’t represent the feelings of the entirety of Florida State’s fan base.
