ABC News affiliate Local 10 reported Monday Florida made a request for 300 ventilators on Friday “to replace expended state stores.” The order was scheduled to arrive Monday, though it was not clear how the ventilators would be allocated across the state. The request comes as Florida has been reporting a sharp rise in coronavirus cases and hospitalizations, largely due to the highly contagious Delta variant that has been sweeping through unvaccinated populations....

The 90-day mask mandate passed Friday with a 3-2 vote, WWSB-TV reported. The mandate applies to all students, staff, vendors and parents. Only medical exemptions will be permitted. The mandate will be lifted if the COVID-19 positivity rate drops below 8 percent. At the end of the 90 days, if the positivity rate remains above 10 percent, the mandate will be reinstated. In a statement to Newsweek, DeSantis’ office said, “It is disappointing that any school district would violate Florida law by reversing its mask policy, which had previously protected parents’ rights and complied with state law by offering an opt-out provision....

Floyd Mayweather was scheduled to clash with YouTuber Logan Paul on February 20. However, that fight was indefinitely postponed. While no specific dates have been announced yet, both maintain that the fight will take place for cetain. Talking about the postponement on his YouTube channel, Logan Paul said, On the other hand, Floyd Mayweather’s Instagram post hinting interest towards a fight with Jake Paul received an instant reaction from the latter....

Around 1 p.m. Monday, a car headed southbound on a major highway suddenly exited the road and drove across the grass of a business, the police said in an official statement. Next, the car hit a berm on Wendy’s property, causing the vehicle to go airborne. Once airborne, the car launched across the parking lot and crashed into the side of the Wendy’s. In its descent, the vehicle also struck another car that was waiting in the drive-thru and nearly hit a family dining outside....

Seventy two Football League clubs have met in Vilamoura, Portugal and voted, unanimously, to tweak the rules concerning the overseas players loan loophole, in an effort to bring about an equality in the treatment of overseas and domestic loan players.
